Use

You can use the installment procedure for late registrations, bookings, or cancellations to define what amount of the outstanding payments are due and when these are due.

The SAP System offers five installment procedures. In installment procedure 1 (due on booking/cancellation date plus time interval), you can enter a date, and a time interval (number and unit) which defines to what extent you can postpone the due date.

Examples

The booking deadline for module 0001 is January 15, 2005. The total fee for module 0001 is 1000 euros.

The due date schedule for module 0001 designates the following installment payments:

Date    Installment payment

February 01, 2005    40 % of total fee (400 EUR)

March 01, 2005    30 % of total fee (300 EUR)

April 01, 2005    20 % of total fee (200 EUR)

May 01, 2005    10 % of total fee (100 EUR)

A student books module 0001 on February 15, 2005, one month after the January 15 deadline. The amounts due for payment depend on the selected installment procedure:

  • Procedure 1: Due on booking/cancellation date plus time interval

    If you enter a time interval of 10 days, the student has to pay 1,000 euros by Feb. 25, 2005 (Feb. 15 plus 10 days).

  • Procedure 2: Due on date of next installment

    The student has to pay 1000 euros by March 1, 2005.

  • Procedure 3: Due on date of last installment

    The student has to pay 1000 euros by May 1, 2005.

  • Procedure 4: Even distribution among remaining installments

    The student has to pay the following installments:

    • 333 euros by March 1, 2005 (1,000 euros/3 installments)
    • 333 euros by April 1, 2005 (1,000 euros/3 installments)
    • 334 euros by May 1, 2005 (1,000 euros/3 installments, remaining amount)
  • Procedure 5: Even distribution among remaining installments

    The student has to pay the following installments:

    • 500 euros by March 1, 2005 (30/60 of 1,000 euros)
    • 333 euros by April 1, 2005 (20/60 of 1,000 euros)
    • 167 euros by May 1, 2005 (10/60 of 1,000 euros, remaining amount)
