Use
The fee calculation date you enter determines which fee calculation periods the system uses as a basis for fee calculation. The system checks if this fee calculation date is within the start and end dates of a fee calculation period. It then calculates the fees for all of the fee calculations periods within this interval.
In addition, the fee calculation date and the processing mode for fee calculation together determine if the system will calculate the actual fees or the expected fees. When the system calculates the expected fees, it uses the previous fee calculation period as the basis for calculation.
Examples
You have created the following fee calculation periods:

0002 01.07.2004 31.12.2004 2004 Winter semester
If you enter 01.03.2004 as the fee calculation date, the system uses fee calculation period 0001 as a basis for fee calculation. This fee calculation period is assigned to summer semester 2004.
Further notes
When you post the fee calculation result, the system uses the system date as the posting date and not the fee calculation date.
