Definition

Specifies whether the system should output the grant evaluation results as expected grants or disbursements.

Use

The two evaluation modes affect processing as follows:

• Expected grant

  The system posts the grant evaluation results to the student accounts as plan data. The amounts it determines are never disbursed to students.

• Disbursement authorization

  The system posts the grant evaluation results to the student accounts as a credit entry. The credit amount can then either be disbursed or cleared.

Dependencies

Which evaluation mode is allowed for an internally managed grant depends on the grant status.
