Definition

This is the percentage of eligibility for dependents. If you leave this
and dependent eligibiliy amount fields blank, the total claim limit for
dependents (family) is determined by employee's claim limit.

Example:

  • Dependent's eligibility is 80% and employee's claim limit is $1000.
    • Depending on the type of cover specified for the dependent
      coverage, either $800 for each eligible dependent or $800 for
      whole family is the available claim limit for dependents.
  • Dependent's amount is $500 and employee's claim limit is $1000.
    • Depending on the type of cover specified for the dependent
      coverage, either $500 for each eligible dependent or $500 for
      whole family is the available claim limit for dependents.
  • Dependent's eligibility percent and amount are left blank and
    employee's claim limit is $500.
    • Depending on the type of cover specified for the dependent
      coverage, either $500 for each eligible dependent or $500 for
      whole family is the available claim limit for dependents.
  • Dependent's eligibility percent, amount and employee's claim limit
    are left blank.
    • There is no limit on claims.
