Definition

A method version is a string that permits differentiation of versions for a target platform`s API method.

Use

Currently SAP Jam API methods exist as a first version, but additional versions might be released in the future.

Dependencies

API methods might have different versions that need to be processed slightly differently.

This is reflected in different Customizing settings for the different versions (table CLB2C_PTYPE_VERS).

Example

API methods of SAP Jam are normally tagged as version 1, for instance GET /v1/groups. A /v2/ version might appear in future releases.
