Definition

An annotation URL describes the resource location of an OData annotation.

Use

Annotations are used to describe OData specific extensions to CSDL (reference: www.odata.org/vocabularies).
Their main use case is to control how a service document shall be rendered in a UI (like the Thing Inspector of SAP UI5).

Dependencies

The annotation must be provided either by an annotation collection that is comprised in the original OData service, or by an annotation provider class that is registered at SAP NetWeaver Gateway and linked to this service.
