Definition
Profile of the export of material BOMs in XML (Extended Markup Language) in accordance with the DTD (Document Type Description) from the IPC-2571 standard for the electronic procurement chain.
Use
In the profile, you specify how the cFolders attributes and XML attributes from the DTD are assigned to each other for the following XML elements that are supported in the cFolders material BOM export:
- ApprovedManufacturerListItem (manufacturer item that can be used for the item)
- Attachment (link to a document (URL or in the Product Data eXchange ZIP file))
- BillOfMaterialItem (describes the relationship between the item and the component)
- Contact (contact information)
- Item (this element contains the master data of the item including the material and document)
- ManufacturerPart (manufacturer part)
- ProductDataeXchangePackage (Mandatory root element of the Product Data eXchange document)
- ReferenceDesignator (Unique identification of an individual electronic component)
With the exception of the ReferenceDesignator element, you can define more attributes for the elements and assign them to cFolders attributes.
The additional attributes are included in XML as AdditionalAttributes and AdditionalAttribute elements in accordance with the DTD.
