Documentation
Definition
Specifies the Maribel standard reduction that is valid for all workers of a firm employing 20 or more workers, or that is valid for the first 5 workers of a firm employing less than 20 workers.
Use
As of April 01, 1997, the Maribel reduction concept has changed. According to Maribel-IV, the amount depends on the number of manual workers in a company, as follows:
- Companies with less than 5 workers
- Companies with 5 or more workers
Note, the amount consists of a fixed portion plus a variable portion that is related to the percentage of workers in the total number of employees
Note: Minimum and maximum thresholds apply per worker and per year. In addition, the Maribel reduction extends to various sectors, such as construction and HORECA.
