Definition

The valuation basis is used to valuate time wage types. It specifies how a wage type is to be valuated. The system refers to the valuation basis only if

  1. a wage type has not been fully valuated
  2. only the number field of a wage type is filled.

Supplementary Documentation - BWGRL 0001

Use

You can specify an amount here. This amount, along with the extra
pay indicator, forms the new basis of valuation.

Use

The valuation basis field has two functions in the
Employee Remuneration Information infotype.

  1. If you enter an extra pay indicator in infotype 2010, Employee Remuneration Information, the pay rate is either decreased or increased by the basis of valuation.
  2. If you do not enter an extra pay indicator, however, the basis of valuation replaces an existing pay rate from payroll. The system uses the value of the valuation basis from payroll. You should not make an entry in the Amount field in infotype 2010, Employee Remuneration Information, in this case.

Use

The Valuation basis field has two different functions:

  1. If you also enter an extra pay indicator, the wage rate is increased or decreased by the value of the extra pay indicator.
  2. If you do not enter an extra pay indicator, the valuation basis replaces an existing wage rate from payroll. The system takes the value from the valuation basis in payroll.

Procedure

Enter an amount in the Valuation basis field. The amount and the extra pay indicator form the new valuation basis.
