Definition
Normally, the number of employee's benefit total points is the sum of basic points, additional points and carry over points.
For a new hired employee who joins in the middle of account period, SAP provides different ways of prorating the total points to which he or she is entitled.
For example, in company A, all employees are entitled to 100 basic points starting from 01.01.2001 till 31.12.2001. A new employee joins the company on April 1st, 2001 who has 50 carry over points and 50 additional points. If you use the total points prorating by month, then the employee's actual number of total points is: (50 + 100 + 50) * 3/4 = 150.
