Definition

The penalty date type defines the meaning of a particular date, for example, date type PL for penalty date.

Use

The penalty date type is used in the Date Specifications infotype (0041). Here you can assign a specific date to a date type.

Dependencies

When you create a Date Specifications record, the system proposes a date type on the basis of the employee's organizational structure.

Note

A date type is assigned to a date indicator. Make sure you follow the following naming convention: Date types provided by SAP must be assigned to a numeric date indicator.

User-defined date types must be assigned to a non-numeric date indicator.
