Definition
This attribute shows after how many attempts the system sets the parameter 'X' = WAIT for the lock on the number range object.
Explanation
During saving of payment items, the number range is locked and an item number drawn.
If several number ranges are used in parallel for performance reasons, processing takes place in a loop. To draw an item number, the system looks for a free number by placing a lock on a number range. If this number range is already locked by another user, the next number range is processed.
The attribute MAXWAIT shows the number of attempts as of which the system sets the parameter WAIT = 'X' for the lock, so that the program waits until the number range concerned is released again and a lock can be set.
