Definition

This is the amount which the employer has to pay to the employee to contribute in the costs of his commuting expenses ( i.e. the cost of travel between his home and his workplace).

This contribution is obligatory for workers. For clerks it is obligatory if he earns less then a specific amount.

The contribution is calculated on the official price of a train ticket. The amounts are published every year by Order of the Crown ( Staatsblad / Le Moniteur).

The amounts are distinct for yearly, quarterly, monthly, weekly and if the employee works part-time.

In this field we take into account the amount for a part-time employee.
