Documentation
Definition
A family member grouping is a means of identifying a group of family members with common characteristics in order to determine whether or not they are eligible dependents or beneficiaries for a plan. The system sorts family members into family member groupings on enrollment, according to the corresponding feature.
Use
If you want to restrict eligibility as a dependent or beneficiary to types of family members with certain characteristics, you assign a family member grouping to the relevant subtype(s) of the Family/Related Person infotype (0212) in a dependent or beneficiary eligibility rule.
Dependencies
Example
Supplementary Documentation - BEN_RLPGR 0001
Use
Specify a family member grouping if you want to restrict eligibility to a subset of persons of a particular subtype. According to the dependent/beneficiary eligibility rule, only those persons are then eligible who have one of the specified subtypes and also fall into the specified family member grouping.
Dependencies
You can only specify a family member grouping if you have indicated that you want to do so in the dependent/beneficiary eligibility variant.
