Documentation
Definition
Indicates that the reference period for the employee contributions is the anticipated validity of the employee's infotype record.
Example
The employee contribution variant states that the employee may contribute up to 48 units annually. The reference period is the infotype validity, which is one year.
The employee chooses to contribute only 24 units for the year.
After 4 months, the employee decides to raise the contribution to the maximum of 48 units for the year.
For the first three months, the employee contributes as follows:
24 target units/12 months = 2 units per month
2 x 4 months to date = 8 units paid
Then the employee raises the target for the year:
48 target units - 8 units = 40 units to pay
40/8 remaining months = 5 units per month
This example shows that it is possible for the employee to double the annual target amount mid-year, yet more than double the monthly contribution in order to compensate for previously lower contributions.
