This amount is the cost amount defined in the cost rule adjusted according to the employee's pay period, as specified on the Basic Pay infotype (0008). It can be interpreted in either of the possible ways:
- As a separate cost
- As a credit to the employee
How the system handles employer cost depends on whether the indicator ER costs are not credited to employee is set in the plan general data in Customizing.
