Documentation
Definition
An eligibility variant is a means of grouping eligibility rules in order to apply them to a plan in a benefit program. Within the variant, different eligibility rules can be defined for different employee groups (eligibility groupings).
Use
This variant enables you to assign a set of eligibility rules to a plan by means of a single customizing entry. Since an eligibility rule is always defined for a particular eligibility grouping, the system automatically determines which rule from the set applies to a particular employee by determining the employee's eligibility grouping dynamically during processing.
