Documentation
Definition
Specifies the period over which actual hours worked are cumulated in order to calculate length of service for a retirement plan.
Use
Actual hours worked can be cumulated in payroll using multiple calendar types. However, the results of one calendar type only can be evaluated in the length of service calculation.
You therefore need to indicate which calendar type is used for an individual plan if all of the following apply:
- The plan is a retirement plan.
- You have a partial TPA service agreement.
- You want to calculate length of service using the hours-counting method.
Dependencies
The calendar type selected here refers to the calendar type for the compensation wage type that you assign to the retirement plan in the Benefits section of the Payroll IMG for your country version.
You must make sure that the compensation wage type for length of service calculated using the hours-counting method (see the documentation Retirement Plans Service) is set up to cumulate hours using the same calendar type as specified here, otherwise no cumulation results will be available.
