Definition
This field indicates whether or not someone is drawing COBRA benefits. A person is eligible for COBRA benefits under the following circumstances:
- Termination
- Death of covered employee
- Reduction of hours
- Retirement
- Divorce or legal separation of covered employee
- Bankruptcy
- Loss of child dependent status
- Employee becomes eligible for Medicare benefits, but spouse and children are still eligible for COBRA
