Definition
The base rail tariff is about the legal possible social subscription for home-work transport.
Due to the law of 27.07.62 and collective aggreement 19 of 05.03.91, the employer is indebted to the employee for the home-work contribution. Since 01.01.91 a new NMBS-season-ticket, the train chart, has taken over the roll of the usual and social subscription.
In this field you store the legal amount for each distance category for an train subscription. This is used to calculate the permitted home-work reimburse.
This amount is multiplied by the field BPCTT (Tariff percentage contributions) to give the field BEPPT (Rail tariff part-timers). This is the amount you are allowed to pay to the employee.
Since the OC of 08.02.96 there is a distinct amount for part-time employees.
The choice between yearly, monthly,... is determined by the contract type. You can find it in infotype 0006 (Contract Elements) in the specific Belgian fields. This is the field WKWNG.
When the person comes to his work by car, the legal tax free maximum amount is 5000 (1995). When the employer gives more, tax has to be paid on this amount.
