Example

In the scenario for guarantees, if the guarantor serves a termination notice to the bank, the outstanding amount for the loans of the guarantee, as on the date of receipt of the termination notice, must be fixed as the amount of the guarantee.

However, the guarantee would still hold for the period of the loan. Some possible termination rights of collateral agreements are:

• Expiry of the validity period.
• Repayment of the receivable.
• Loan waiverby the bank (collateral taker).
