Definition
The value-date-based balance is used for variable transactions with daily balances or with turnovers. The balance is negative or positive depending on whether the transaction is a debit (asset transaction) or credit (liability transaction). It is recorded in the transaction currency.
Use
For variable transactions with daily balances, the field contains the value-date-based daily balance of the transaction. The value-date-based balance is only updated when the value-date-based or posting-data-based daily balance changes.
For variable transactions with turnovers, the field contains the value-date-based balance-carried-forward for the transaction. The balance-carried-forward is calculated from the turnovers, and updated when a final costing run is made.
