The position number identifies a position uniquely.

Use

You must enter the product type and the position criteria to enable the system to assign the position to the correct application.

The criteria that define a position vary depending on the application.

  • Position criteria for securities (for example, stocks, bonds):
    • Company code
    • Security ID number
    • Securities account
  • Position criteria for foreign exchange:
    • Company code
    • Currency
    • Portfolio
  • Position criteria for listed derivatives (futures and listed options):
    • Company code
    • Securities account
    • Short/long indicator

The system assigns a position number to every combination of criteria actually entered.
