Definition
The posting-date-based balance is used with variable transactions with with daily balances or turnovers. The balance can be either positive or negative depending on whether the transaction is a debit (asset trans.) or credit (liability trans.) It is managed in the transaction currency.
Use
For variable transactions with daily balances, the field contains the posting-date-based daily balance of the transaction. The posting-date-based balance is only updated if the value-dated based or posting-date-based balance is changed.
For variable transactions with turnovers (account activities), the field contains the posting-date-based balance-carried-forward.
The balance-carried-forward is calculated from the turnovers in the closing costing run of the period, and updated.
