Reference rate for a foreign exchange transaction
Use
The reference rate is used to calculate the trading terms contribution in Single Transaction Costing. Only make an entry in the field if you are going to execute the corresponding costing procedure.
The reference rate should always be seen as the rate of the leading currency amount in relation to the following currency amount.
Example
Forex transaction: Purchase 100,000 USD Sale 183,000 DEM
USD is set as the leading currency for the currency pair.
The rate of the transaction is therefore 1.83000. The reference rate should therefore be entered accordingly.
