Definition
This is when a loan commitment signed by the lender is sent to the loan applicant.
For credit institutions, this commitment is binding, although it is generally only temporary. According to the German Banking Act (§§13, 15, 16 GBA), the commitment and the amount are subject to reporting obligations.
