Documentation
Definition
Default risk rules are the central control instances for valuing credit risks arising from transactions.
Controlling Valuation
Default risk rules are used to determine the credit risk related to a risk object. Default risk rules are thus used, for example, to assign risk sensitivities and date determination rules to transactions.
Assignment
A default risk rule can be assigned to a transaction by means of the transaction's financial object. The same applies for risk objects.
If no default risk rule is maintained for a financial object, then the assignment is dependent on the underlying transaction or the risk object:
- Transaction types with product types and product types and transaction types: Product types, and a combination of product types with transaction types, can be assigned uniquely to default risk rules.
- BCA accounts: The BCA product (account type) can be assigned uniquely to the default risk rule.
- Original risk objects: In risk object maintenance, you can directly assign default risk rules on the level of the risk object for risk objects which are originally contained in the Risk Analyzer.
