Definition
Equivalent value in local currency for a forex cross transaction.
Use
In SAP Banking, forex positions are always kept in the local currency as well, that is, a moving average rate to the local currency is kept for foreign currency positions.
In the case of cross transactions, the equivalent value determines at which rates the foreign currency amounts enter the respective positions. The rates are determined based on the relationship between the foreign currency amount and the local currency amount.
