Definition
The German 'Buchhändler-Abrechnungs-Gesellschaft mbH' (BAG) serves to rationalize payment and settlement transactions between publishers and booksellers. The BAG groups all invoices sent by different publishers to the same bookseller and performs settlement for them on certain dates. A bookseller can only take part in this settlement procedure if assigned a BAG transaction number.
