Definition
Defines how the period of early promotion comes to an end or whether a final level is granted.
Use
You have given your employee early promotion to a higher age or seniority level. In this field, you specify how this early promotion is processed further (see §72 Bundesbesoldungsgesetz (Public Sector Remuneration Act) and § 27 section C Bundes-Angestelltentarifvertrag (Collective Agreement for Salaried Employees).
Procedure
The early promotion can be processed in one of the following ways:
- ' ' (blank) means: Basic salary increases resulting from promotion to an age or seniority level are imputed. The employee is only promoted to the next level when the early promotion period comes to an end and he or she would have been promoted to this level anyway.
- 'X' means: The number of levels by which the employee has been promoted is always retained. However, the basic salary paid in the final age level is not exceeded.
- 'E' means: The employee is assigned to the maximum age or seniority level within the current pay scale or seniority group (see § 5 par. 2 Beamtenversorgungsgesetz (Public Sector Pensions Act).
