Use
- Basic run (standard update using INSERT)
The system calculates benchmark key figures using the selection criteria you entered, and posts the results to the Results Database (RDB).
Note: The basic run finishes with the status Run with Warning if the RDB already contains key figure values for the evaluation period in question and these values are not the same as the values the program has just calculated. The log of the run contains warning messages for each key figure value for which this is the case.
- Basic run from a worklist (standard update using INSERT)
The system calculates benchmark key figures using the selection criteria stored in the <DE.AFWBM_DEL_RUN_ID>worklist. Once the values have been calculated successfully, the system deletes the worklist.
- Deletion run (update of database using
DELETE
)The system deletes all the benchmark key figures from the RDB that meet the selection criteria specified. To ensure that the key figure values in the RDB are consistent, the system also deletes the key figure values of all composite benchmarks that contain one or more of the benchmarks selected.
If not all benchmark key figures were calculated for the evaluation period in question, the system records a warning message in the application log. However, the deletion run continues, and is not aborted.
Note: After the system has successfully deleted the data, the status of the RDB corresponds exactly to the status as it was before the basic run. In other words, the data is deleted, rather than merely reversed. If you want to recover the benchmark key figures, you need to restart the relevant basic run. Note that the results generated by restarting the basic run are identical to those from the original run only if the system still contains the original market data.
Dependencies
To simulate the basic run and deletion run, without changing the status of the Results Database, set the Test Run indicator.
To generate worklists, start the basic run or the deletion run, and choose the option Save as Worklist.
Note: You should use the Save as Worklist option for deletion runs that you start when you want to change the master data of a benchmark yet the Results Database already contains key figure values for the version of the benchmark in question. Proceed as follows:
- Choose the Save as Worklist Option, and start the run.
The system deletes the relevant key figure values.
- Change the master data or market data of the benchmark as required.
- Start the basic run using the worklist that the system created during the deletion run. You can find the name of the worklist by looking in the log of the deletion run.
The system reproduces all the key figure values that were deleted.
