Definition
A set of Customizing settings delivered by SAP that can be used to preconfigure the flexible accounting components for an integrated Financials solution for a specific application scenario.
The accounting configuration essentially specifies the components that form an integrated Financials solution (such as Business Accounting) as well as the technical fields to be registered on the data basis that are required by this integrated Financials solution.
Each data basis to be created must first be assigned to an accounting configuration. This assignment determines the specific Financials solution that is used for the data basis. Furthermore, this also determines the accounting components that are set to active for this databasis. Some presettings that are required for the integrated Financials solution are made automatically. The accounting configuration determines the translation module used for currency translations.
The following accounting configurations currently delivered by SAP are:
- BUS_ACCOUNTING (Business Accounting)
for the integrated Bank Analyzer Scenario
- COCO_STANDALONE
for concurrent costing
