Definition
Codes the absence for evaluations for supplementary pensions(Supplementary Pension D infotype (0126)) and for the Public Sector Germany.
Use
The evaluation of the absence is dependent on the indicator with which the processing category is coded based on the absence valuation rule:
A Sickness pay supplement
B Parental leave
C Soldier serving for a set time
D Unpaid leave
E Military service
F Maternity protection
G Sickness pay supplement with calculation of fictitious gross
amount
H Paid military exercise

Enhancement to supplementary pension
Depending on the type of supplementary pension, an unreduced fictitious gross amount may be used for the calculation of the contribution for particular absence periods.
In the Public Sector, this field is used in different functions, for example:
- Calculation of the supplement to sick pay from health insurance fund
- Calculation of the supplement to maternity pay
- Fictitious calculation for periods of military service
- Calculation of special bonuses
- Calculation of vacation bonus
The key for the absence valuation VBL/SPF is also relevant for supplementary pension for the Public Sector.
Examples for the Public Sector Germany
The maternity protection absence (processing class 10) contains the indicator F. This indicator means that this absence is taken into account in the calculation of the bonus as well as in the calculation of the vacation bonus and special bonus.
The same applies for the military service absence if it is coded with indicator E.
