Definition
Specifies the duration of an absence in hours.
Use
Dependencies
For full-day and several-day absences, the system determines the absence hours from the planned working hours in the employee's personal work schedule. If you valuate all absence days with the same daily work schedule variant, the absence days are calculted from this value.
If it is not a full-day absence, the absence hours are determined according to whether you record time data with or without clock times in your company:
- Without clock times (number of hours only): You define the duration of the absence in hours. If your system also requires clock times, it determines them from the employee's work schedule.
- With clock times: You enter the start and end times of the absence. The system calculates the duration of the absence taking account of breaks.

Use
1) This field stores the hours or days which are deducted from
a quota. The quota and the quota unit are specified according
to tables T554S, T554A and T556P.
2) In some screens the hours are added up and displayed in this field.
