Documentation
Definition
The reference numbering scheme is the scheme from which the corresponding code can be derived automatically during product classification.
Use
Dependencies
Example
Goods imported into the EU have to be classified with TARIC, which is a 10-place code that supplements the 8-place CN code. Goods for export must be classified with the 8-place CN code. To avoid having to classify products twice that are imported and exported, you reference the TARIC scheme in the definition of the CN scheme. As a result, only the 10-place TARIC code has to be assigned in the product master, and the 8-place CN code is derived and assigned automatically.
