Documentation
Definition
The time of SPL screening for customs item categories determines when manually changed document addresses are screened.
- 1 Synchronous - At Update
When a document is saved, the system forwards the manually changed document address to SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) and screens it at runtime. The address is assigned an SPL screening status, which is available immediately in the feeder system. Assuming the SPL screening passes, the process in the feeder system runs without interruption.
- 0 Asynchronous - By Calling the Function / Service
When a document is saved, the system forwards the manually changed document address to SAP GTS and initially assigns it status "Not Checked - Blocked". The system blocks the document in the feeder system until the document address has undergone SPL screening (scenario A2). The "SPL Screening" service assigns the actual SPL screening status to the address. If the SPL screening is passed, the system releases the process again in the feeder system.
The time of SPL screening for business partners controls when new or changed master data objects in the feeder system undergo SPL screening in SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS).
- 1 Synchronous - At Update
SPL screening takes place when the system updates the new or changed master record in SAP GTS.
- 0 Asynchronous - By Calling the Function / Service
SPL screening does not take place when the master data is updated, but instead at a later time, as a background job or manually in dialog.
Use
You have to define the time of SPL screening both for the transfer of business partners and for screening-relevant customs item categories.
Dependencies
If you choose asynchronous SPL screening, you also have to define which type of block business partners who have not undergone SPL screening yet will receive. The type of SPL block determines the system response when you enter a document in the feeder system with master data that has not been screened yet.
The type of SPL block is only relevant for business partners in combination with the asynchronous transfer of master data.
