Definition

The "Delete Existing SPL Attributes during Upload" flag controls whether or not existing names and addresses of sanctioned party list attributes are deleted during the upload and replaced by the new names and addresses.

Use

To consolidate the SPL database in GTS, it can be necessary to upload initial files or master files into the system. If you want the database to have the exact contents of this initial or master file after the upload, you have to set the "Delete Existing SPL Attributes during Upload" flag.

If the flag is set, all names and addresses assigned to an SPL entity are phyiscally deleted. As a result, only the newly uploaded names and addresses are assigned to the SPL entity after the upload.

If the flag is not set, the existing names and addresses are not deleted. The newly uploaded names and addresses are added.

Dependencies

Do not use this flag when uploading delta versions; otherwise data loss may occur! If in doubt, contact your data provider.

We highly recommend archiving the current version of the SPL list in GTS before you upload an initial or master file using the "Delete Existing SPL Attributes during Upload" flag.
