Control profile for logging document activities in SAP Global Trade Services

Use

A profile enables you to group properties of logs together. You can control whether and how the document activities are recorded in logs and saved permanently in the database.

The purpose of this setting is to save as many log entries as necessary, yet as few as possible, in the database, in order to minimize system operating costs.

Dependencies

These logs contain information as to which checks or activities a document has been subjected to. When a document block has been set in SAP Compliance Management, for example, the system indicates which service triggered the block and for which reason.

You may want to configure this setting differently in your test and live systems. If you choose to do so, you will have to split your Customizing transports accordingly.

Example

If a document partner appears in a sanctioned party list in SAP Compliance Management, this is recorded in the log of the document check, where it can be viewed using the report for blocked documents.
