Definition

Preference: Sort sequence of nomenclature of goods

Use

This parameter lets you control the sort sequence of the nomenclature of goods that is output as an attachment to the vendor declaration.

  • You can sort the nomenclature by to the material numbers used at your company (SAP GTS terminology: product number in feeder system). This makes it easier to process the lists when your vendors return them.
  • You can also sort the nomenclature by the partner's material numbers. To achieve a useful result here, the data has to be transferred to SAP GTS first. This setting makes it easier for your partners to process the lists:
    • If you use this option for long-term vendor declarations for customers' purposes, you help your customers with preference determination.
    • If you use this option for vendor-based long-term vendor declarations, this option helps your vendors process your request more quickly. When you process the returned list, you can enter the vendor declaration number to determine the exact relevant product quantity.
