Definition
Internal, technical key of a business objects in the Business Object Repository (BOR).
Business objects in BOR are identified using both the object type (for example, BUS2032) and the English description (for example, SalesOrder). Both names must be unique for all object types.
External applications frequently identify business objects by their English name, whereas BOR usually identifies them using the object type. Originally, the objects were identified only by means of the internal key, but because of the ever-widening use of business objects, it was decided to assign them a name. For compatibility reasons, both names are now used.
The object type may contain a maximum of 10 characters.
