Definition
The reference legal regulation is the legal regulation under which the customs duty rates are saved in your SAP GTS system.
Use
You can assign the legal regulation for customs processing in one country to the legal regulation for another country in SAP Customs Management.
This makes it possible to use the same customs duty rates for several countries. This is helpful in the European Union, for example, when you conduct customs processing in several countries, because the European duty rates are valid for all EU member nations.
Dependencies
If you use the reference legal regulation, make sure that the assignment of the tariff code numbering schemes to the legal regulations is identical - that is, that all the countries that use the same duty rates also use the same customs tariff numbers.
Example
You receive customs duty rates for France from your data provider and want to use them for customs processing in Austria and Germany as well. You enter the French legal regulation as a reference for Austria and Germany in the control data for the Customs Processing service.
