Definition
If you set this indicator, the legal control data (license assignments) of an item is taken from the preceding item.
Dependencies
Apart from setting this indicator, you must also define how the legal control data should be transferred at the legal regulation level.
Example
An SD order was transferred to the SAP GTS system and locked because a license was missing. This lock was removed after a license was manually assigned to it in SAP GTS. If the SD delivery were generated and transferred, the SAP GTS system would also lock it because the license was not determined automatically in the order. Therefore, the delivery would also have to released manually.
If you activate legal control data transfer the license which was manually assigned to the order would be transferred to the delivery, which simplifies this process.
