Definition
Original reference number for EDI message exchange.
Use
Obsolete: If syntax errors occur, the reference number (LRN) cannot be used; instead, the EDI reference number is reported and used to determine the shipment.
During inbound processing, the EDI reference is compared with both the IDoc number for outbound messages and with the ID for the EDI message transfer (FILEID field).
