Documentation
Definition
The status for products in the customs warehouse describes the system response for the products for which you deleted the flag for customs warehouse relevance.
Use
When you decide that a product is no longer relevant for customs warehouse processing, the system still has to guarantee the correct processing of the product stocks that are already in the customs warehouse. To do this, it uses the following status values, which the system assigns automatically, to handle the stocks until the product is actually no longer relevant for customs warehouse processing.
- No deletion flag
This flag represents the default setting for products that you have configured for processing customs procedures with economic impact.
- Expiring product
When you delete the Relevant for Customs Warehouse flag, the system checks customs warehouse inventory management to see whether stocks of the product exist. If so, the system sets status Expiring product. After you distribute these changed product characteristics to the logistics feeder systems, the system will only post stock issues in customs warehouse inventory management for the goods issues for that product. Goods issue postings from the feeder system no longer trigger receipt postings in customs warehouse inventory management.
- Reorganization allowed
When you delete the Relevant for Customs Warehouse flag, the system checks customs warehouse inventory management to see whether stocks of the product exist. If not, the system sets the Reorganization Allowed flag for that product. If stock still exists for the product, the system sets the Expiring product flag and changes the status as soon as the customs warehouse stocks for the corresponding product are exhaused through goods issues.
After you distribute the changed product characteristics to the logistics feeder systems or exhaust the remaining customs warehouse stocks for a product through goods issues, neither goods receipts nor goods issues in the feeder system will trigger product changes in the customs warehouse stocks. As such, the product is no longer configured for processing customs procedures with economic impact.
