Definition
Country key used to define information that can be used to check entries, such as the length of the postal code or the length of the bank account number.
The two digit ISO code as defined by ISO 3166, which is provided by SAP as a proposal, is normally used here.
Other options here are the country keys for vehicles or a country-specific key, such as the key for the Federal Statistical Office Germany.
The country key is defined in the global settings during the system implementation.
Since the country key does not have to match the ISO code in all installations, programs that distinguish specific values in the country key, must use the ISO code T005-INTCA in their programming instead of querying the country key T005-LAND1.
