Definition

Using the determination strategy for legal regulations, you define which criteria are to be used to determine active legal regulations.

Use

The following can be used to determine legal regulations:

  • Export transaction
    • Determination of legal regulation at the level of the country of departure
    • Determination of legal regulation: Country of departure level and country of destination level
    • Determination of legal regulation: Country of departure level and the level of the country group of the country of destination
    • Determination of legal regulation: Level of the country group of the country of departure
    • Determination of legal regulation: Level of the country group of the country of departure and the country of destination level
    • Determination of legal regulation: Level of the country group of the country of departure and the level of the country group of the country of destination

  • Import transaction:
    • Determination of legal regulation at the level of the country of destination
    • Determination of legal regulation: Country of destination level and country of departure level
    • Determination of legal regulation: Country of destination level and the level of the country group of the country of departure
    • Determination of legal regulation: Level of the country group of the country of destination
    • Determination of legal regulation: Level of the country group of the country of destination and country of departure
    • Determination of legal regulation: Level of the country group of the country of destination and the country group of the country of departure

You have to specify a partner grouping for the determination strategy to determine the country of destination/country group of the country of destination (for exports) or the country of departure/country group of the country of departure (for imports). The system uses the country of the first partner whose partner function is contained in both the partner grouping and the customs document.

The system determines the country of departure for exports and the country of destination for imports from the country of the legal unit at item level.
