Definition

A comparison procedure links various information for text comparison in the classification help function, based on search and/or address strings such as delimiters, search terms, and exclusion terms.

Use

The product classification help makes it possible to correctly classify any type of product. By comparing the characteristic search terms that you have defined in the comarison procedures with texts in the product descriptions, the system assigns specific numbers - such as the export control classification number, tariff code number, or commodity code - to the individual products.
