ABI Unit of Measure 3.
ABI Interface Entry Summary - Record Identifier 50:
A code representing the third unit of measure associated with the first tariff number. The third unit of measure must match exactly the third unit of measure as listed in the HTS for the tariff number in positions 4 13 of this record.
ABI Interface Entry Summary - Record Identifier 70, 80, 81:
A code representing the third unit of measure associated with the tariff number. The third unit of measure must match exactly the third unit of measure as listed in the HTS for the tariff number in positions 3 12 of this record.
ABI Interface Harmonized Tariff Schedule:
A code representing the third unit of measure. Valid unit of measure codes are listed in Appendix C.
ABI Interface Automated Invoice Interface:
A code representing the unit of measure associated with the third quantity. Valid units of measure codes are listed in Appendix C.
For certain commodities, a third quantity and unit of measure must be reported. For example, as noted in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule Master file, raw cane sugar (HTS heading 1701.11) requires that "International Sugar Degrees" be reported in addition to the primary and secondary statistical reporting units.
