Definition
When checking whether a forecast model is suitable for a certain location product (Trigg's tracking signal), the system compares the result of one of the last forecasts with the actual demand. In this field, you can specify which of the last forecast results you want the system to use.
If, for example, you specify 1, the system selects the last forecast result. If you specify 2, the system chooses the penultimate forecast result.
Note:
If you plan on using leading-indicator-based forecasting, only value 1 is allowed for this field in the forecast profiles of the leading indicator and the coefficient.
In the columns on the Historical Forecasts screen, you see the forecast results for each period as of the creation period. A value is stored in green in each column. This value is the forecast value that the system has calculated before the number of periods defined in this field for each period.
Use
The system shows the value in this field always reading from the forecast profile stored in the database. You can change the value of this field by entering a number here, or by running the Offset Calculation Planning Service Manager (PSM) service.
