Procedure

The fields Start date, End date, Number of periods and For period, and the button Proposal in the phase-in/phase-out profile are interdependent. You must make entries in all of the fields. This is what you do:

  1. Enter a start date.
  2. Enter an end date.
  3. If necessary, overwrite the value in the field For period. The default is the period indicator from the master forecast profile.
  4. Click the button Proposal.
  5. The system calculates the number of periods in the phase-in/phase-out horizon and enters that number in the field No. of periods.

Dependencies: Phase-In Profile

The start date and the end date define the time span of the phase-in profile. If this time span falls within the historical forecast horizon as specified in the master forecast profile, the phase-in profile changes the demand history. If this time span falls within the future forecast horizon as specified in the master forecast profile, the phase-in profile changes the demand forecast.

Dependencies: Phase-Out Profile

The start date and the end date define the time span of the phase-out profile. If this time span falls within the historical forecast horizon as specified in the master forecast profile, the phase-out profile changes the demand history. If this time span falls within the future forecast horizon as specified in the master forecast profile, the phase-out profile changes the demand forecast.
